An equal blend of Frincadeira, Aragonez, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet aged without any oak. Impressive depth in flavour here, with notes of plum, spice, pepper (perhaps from the Syrah) and a unusual (but not off-putting) slightly medicinal component I find in many Portuguese reds. Softly structured with perhaps just a wee bit of RS (8g/:) shows up on the long finish. This is a very good value indeed. Tasted Oct 2020.
