A pleasant Italian from Sardegna, centred around Cannonau (Grenache) with bovale, monica and giro - a decidedly local blend.
Nose of horse saddle, crushed cherry pits, herbs, even a hint of black truffles.
Vibrant acidity in the mouth, but with a smooth red-fruit mid-palate. Finish is slightly racy, with tannins above average.
Excellent companion to tomato-sauce based dishes.
