Lean, crisp, very dry chenin with tart citrus and barely ripe peach spectrum of flavours. That is not to say that this wine is unripe, but it seems to made from earlier picked grapes (just 12.5% abv, only 2 g/L RS) to preserve acidity and freshness. Along with well-judged oak, this makes this a superior food wine. Yet another fine value from South Africa. Tasted Dec 2020.
