(91+?)-June 2010-An outstanding Malbec.
On the nose beautiful violet ripe fruit and oak.
On the palate powerful, chewy, dense, round and full body with cassis, prunes and long lasting finish.
I really like thi Malbec. Good value.
This nicely aromatic, full bodied Malbec that has been aged in French oak for 15 months, has FRUITY to integrated notes of red currant, black cherry, pine, green pepper and vanilla. Tannins are refined to tannic (decant between 30 to 60 min) and the finish is nice and long. This wine should be cellared before it matures (2011-12 on) and can be kept for 5 to 10 years. My impression BEAUTIFUL, 91 pts - a recommended buy even though it's a bit pricey (should cost ~$17) and even though you may throw out your back (bottle weighs a ton). Tasted July/10.
