A fairly big nero d'avola, with plenty of red fruit, herbs and a hint of smoke, though it takes a bit of aeration to bring those qualities out of their youthful shell. Fruit, length, tannin, acidity all seem in just the right balance. Really good nero d'avola,...well, just a really good bottle of red. Drink now through 2025. Tasted April 2021.
