Inexpensive by Barbaresco standards, this still exhibits many of the hallmarks of Nebbiolo: cherry fruit, a bit of tartness and floral aromas. I also detected a touch of oak on the nose. Of course, at this price, one does not expect huge depth or complexity. Rather, think of this is a Nebbiolo-lite. Decent value and a very good food wine. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Tasted Dec 2011.

This value Barbaresco has a light body and integrated yet very subtle notes of raspberry, pine and liquorice. Tannins are subtle to refined (decant for 30 min) and the finish is short. It is a quite disappointing Barbaresco even if compared to other cheaper Nebbiolo grapes. This wine is surprisingly un-aromatic. My impression: NOTHING SPECIAL. Tasted Apr/10.

bought this on Roger's recommendation, but I got the 2007 vintage (not the 2006). Never tried the 2006, so i don't know how it compares. I found the 2007 had a nice nose of plums and smoke, but in the mouth it was a little lacking in fruit, and tannic. Definately an old-school, needs-food kind of wine. Though I must say it was better the second day (air pumped out). Maybe it's age-worthy, but I'll never know since I won't be buying it again.
