Rich chocolate supports good varietal fruit on the Ribena-Cassis line and high acidity takes care of the rest. A...

Dense, dry, good acidity and smooth tannins. Green peppers and eucalyptus lurking in the background. Very solid effort.

This bottle has a medium+ intensity nose of dark berry, herbs, cassis follows through to the full-bodied, nicely textured, and chewy palate, joined by currant and wood spice flavours. Acids are balanced, while tannins are integrating nicely, if a touch drying. Long finish ends with black currant notes with earthy accents. Enjoy over the next 4-5 years. Tasted Nov/2019.
