Heady nose of cola, coconut, stewed red & black berries, Christmas cake with dark raisins.
On the palate, the long wood ageing dominates, making this a full wine with a long finish. Cola is present throughout. Tannins are well-integrated. The 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo are a bit lost with the wood, but add some savoury notes.
A decent Rioja with classic profile.
Tasted May 2019.
