Not your usual white Rioja: mostly Viura, yes, but with a splash of Manzanilla Sherry.
You catch that nuttiness on the ample nose, along with candied orange peel, Meyer lemon, allspice, fennel.
Zippingly dry with Sherry-like acidity, but a depth of fruit beyond the nut notes. Good length.
I'm intrigued to see how this will age.
Tasted February 2020.
