Lush with lots of red fruit compote, some Nibs, sage, black pepper and aged balsamic. More fruit than savoury.
Tannins are medium+, but still quite smooth. Well-balanced, it carries 15% with ease.
This CdP is drinking well now, and will certainly age.
Tasted September 2018.
A 2015 red blend from the rolled pebbles and limestone soils of Southern Rhone, France. 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, 5% Cinsault from 60 year old vineyards, aged 70% in stainless steel and 30% in new oak. Sage, rosemary, lavender, bright red fruit, nutmeg, cinnamon, pepper, vanilla, wet gravel. 15% alcohol but you wouldn't know it. Really long lingering finish of herbs, dried flowers and pepper. Great representation of the region.
