Grown at the foothills of the Andes mountains in the Maipo Valley and aged 16 months in French oak barrels. Strong aromas of blackcurrant, tomato leaf, graphite, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, baking spice, oak, potting soil. Warming lingering finish of mocha and spice with some drying tannin. A California Cab of this quality is double the price.
I was getting a mix of leather and smoke on the nose. When I tasted it I was getting some dark fruit flavors, perhaps plum. It was very well balanced. The finish was about 25 seconds. I found the wine did not evolve too much through out the night so I see little need to decant. Even though I would have liked a little more character in this wine, it was very well balanced, I think 90 is a fair rating.

2017 Vintage. Earthy and dark fruit aromas. Nice finish. Decanting may bring out more flavors. 2017 is an 89.

Luscious Cab Sauv from the Maipo in Chile.
Nose of black fruit jam, mocha, vanilla, hint of black pepper, bramble.
Full and inviting on the palate, with gobs of fruit and a sweet undertone - but not at all cloying. Smooth tannins and a finish that goes on long. Slight herbaceousness on the finish adds a nice complexity to the fruit.

Not getting the 92 pts. A touch green for me. Decent at the sale price.
