A 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 14% Malbec from Margaret River, Australia. Aromas are weak to medium. You really gotta get in there. Plum, blackberry, lavender, mint, dried herbs. The finish is medium to long but has an annoying earthy mushroom wet shoe component. It's minimal but nags at you. This is heightened by a tart acidic aftertaste. The tannins are medium, alcohol high at 14% but well-integrated. This is aged for 13 months in 20% new French oak, but I couldn't tell. I think this would be a lot better coupled with food to cut the tartness. It's an entry level red for this winery at $26.95 (LCBO). It's a solid Cabernet Sauvignon for the price but you could do better in South America.
