Slim, taut, but unmistakeably Syrah. As David notes, this is similar to a North Rhone red, with crisp smoky black berry notes, pepper and herbs and fine acidity. very dry, still a bit youthful and little in the way of noted oak. Solid cool climate Syrah. While not intended for long ageing, this could use another year 12 to 18 months. Tasted June 2018
