A mix of lean, leafy flavours, green pepper and rip lush fruit. Tannin is relatively mild as one would expect in a relatively inexpensive wine. Admittedly, Carmenere is not my favourite solo variety. Like Cab Franc, I feel it is better suited to blending with merlot and/or Cab Sauv. That said, this is a decent value. Tasted April 2018.
