Indeed, this is an easy-drinking, fruity Douro from Romaneira. Tannin is quite mild and the focus is on the fruit, derived from mostly from the usual local Portuguese varieties plus a bit of syrah. Easy to like, and fine to sip on any time. Tasted Nov 2017.
A fruit-forward, black plum, and blackberry flavoured wine with soft and plush tannins. Hints of pepper, spice, and touches of floral emerge with time. Acids deliver freshness. Some earthy mineral notes arrive on the finish, with good length. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Syrah, and Tinto Cão. Tasted Feb/2019.
