This medium-full bodied red picks up some freshness and herbal notes from its higher altitude, but somehow doesn't express much cabernet-ness. The fruit is fairl lifted red cherry/plum (not the usual cab blackcurrant/cassis) with with handled oak spice, pepper and some leather and earthiness. It is fairly thick and rounded, with some green tannin on the finish. Quite spicy. The length is very good. Tasted September 2017
