This is a big, bold BC Cabernet Sauvignon from the Similkameen Valley.
Deep nose of blackberries, vanilla, red fruit compote with baking spices and oak.
On the palate, firm chewy tannins and a mocha note, with lots and lots (mostly red) of fruit, perhaps a touch of plum. Savoury finish adds a depth of character and steers this far away from "fruit bomb" territory.
Coming in at 14.8% ABV (as listed), I have a feeling it packs a slightly higher punch.
Long finish, this is really something to age for a few years at minimum. Should last a decade.
Tasted October 2017.
