Medium purple core with light purple rim. Medium intense nose of ripe (perhaps overripe) plums, meat, leather, pepper and subtle oak spice; very Rhône, very alluring. Taste did not live up to what the nose promised. Medium- body, high acidity and medium firm tannins. I found the acidity too strong for the structure of the wine; significant puckering going on.
